oil drip from oil filter.

Does anyone have that annoying drip coming from their oil filter or just me? I changed my oil....cleaned the flange that the filter seals to,put a new filter on...noticed the drip. figured it may be a bad filter seal....put new filter on...same thing.I dont know if this is normal for these vehicles. Just curious

Mine does that but it takes about a day for it to show. I figure that my rover has other leaks and this was on par.

yeah mine does it too after each new filter, one of many oil leaks

It makes for some great underbody rustproofing though

Try rubbing a little of the new engine oil on the gasket before you screw the new filter in place. It's a trick I learned at sea and seems to work just as well on my rover.
