oil in throttle body

My gas pedal has been sticking for a few weeks now and I have finally gotten around to looking for the culprit. It appears to be oil and sludge building up around the plate in the throttle body. It appears to be coming from the breather hose that enters in the bottom of the body itself. Is there supposed to be a little bit of oil being sucked through that or might that be caused by the oil separator being clogged?
This doesn't seem to be affecting anything except a sticky pedal which is fine with me as long as the dog isn't behind the car first thing in the AM. I wiped it out once but will need to get after it with some carb cleaner over the weekend.

Driver's side there is no oil separator in the breather line coming out of the valve covers... only in the pax side.

IMHO some oily residue is normal for the intakes for the most part, just keep on the lube cycle really good to help prevent build-ups of deposits in the oil (this will show dramatically when you drop your sump for the first time and see what's actually down there that doesn't drain during an oil change!)

IF it's still sticky after you've cleaned it out, consider a little cable lube (similar to bicycle cable lube) for the throttle cables... a little could go a long way. And make sure there's no kinks or odd bends from previous owners/techs in there messing around.

Good Luck!
