I have a 01 DII and the oil light isn't coming on during start up test. Checked plug and fuse. All seem ok. Any ideas?
Thanks

I was wondering if the switch fails does the light come in and stay on? I get not light at all at test start up.
Thanks

Depends on how the switch fails. On a D1, I had the switch/light come one TOO often. But I could see if it gummed up inside, maybe it would never come on. If you unplug the switch, what happens? And then if jumper the harness plug?

Unplugging the switch on a discovery causes the light to never go on. I'm not sure how a series 2 reacts.

Check the harness running down the left side of the block. Mine was rubbing on the exhaust manifold causing a short that was making my light come on. If this wire becomes open your light will stay off.
