I've never really named a car before, but for some reason the two daily drivers we have right now have been tagged. My DII is "Fat Bastard" and the wife's Element is "The Short Bus".

I think getting married and now expecting has made me soft!

You look like a Babay! Get in mah bellay!!

WHAT?! you've gotta be kidding me! he's one of my favorite guitarists! i'll be pm'ing you later.

hijacking and namedropping on:
i've been on a roll lately. i met merle haggard today and got him to sign some stuff for me. i met and hung out with the band "loverboy" about a month ago and got them to sign some stuff for me. i'm sure nobody's heard of the "red elvises", but i had their lead guitarist, zhenya rok, at my house for a jam session a little over a month ago. so i've had a good year so far, but i need to make this steve vai thing happen. that would top it all!
hijacking and namedropping off:

in the spirit of the thread, my wife has nicknames for our disco's. mine is white, and is called "cracker". i'm afraid to type what she calls her black one, but she's hispanic so she can get away with it. :)

Name drop: Warren Haynes is from my hometown! He is one hell of a guitar player and a hell of good guy. He still hangs around Asheville NC a lot and does a lot of charity events. (my guitars: Martin HD-28, baby Taylor, and a custom built by Chuck Ogsbury OME "Oldtime Banjo" with a dug out neck and scroll headstock:drool: ) That's all but they are better investments than my Rover. Sorry to hijack but felt a need to jump in on the over 40 discussion, 43 and counting:eek:

Cheers,

Mike

jim: pm'd you

mike: i've got warren haynes "tales of ordinary madness". he's excellent. i forgot to namedrop the "los lonely boys" earlier. they're from my hometown. and anyone here can bump into them at any given moment at the local wal-mart. henry garza and his brother can play better with one hand and behind their back better than i can staring right at it (that's fun to see at their concerts). i see you're going for quality over quantity on your guitars. those are worth some $$$. i went for quantity, but i do have a civil war era martin (c-body i believe, i keep it locked up), complete with original case! i've got a brian may signature (queen), and about 8 or 9 others of varying worth. my favorite is my fernandes in the limited lemon maple finish (only 36 made). and i hit the big 4-3 i two weeks.

I call my D1 "majestic" because she is

my moms call her D2 "black ghost" because the windows are limo tint and the trucks appears to drive it self

the range rover sport doesn't have a name yet I guess my sister will think of one something with white because that's the color it is.

Ok, I've named just a few of the rovers.
Lucas (my beloved 96 Disco, for the Prince of Darkness)
Noah (1959 Series II, not a IIa, hence No "A")
Diamond (Dormobile... name sprung from engagement ring vs. rover)
Ruby (04 Range Rover, Alveston Red)
Stewie (96 Disco, named after the previous owner)
The POE (94 D90 POE, for obvious reasons)
Bryson (94 D90, after Bill Bryson, who was listened to while bringing Bryson home)
There have been so many others, but some of our Rovers just didn't spark a name so easily. I tried so hard to name the 95 LWB, but I just didn't love it, and couldn't come up with anything. (I was mourning the sale of Lucas at that time.)
I've been trying to come up with a name for my 05 Range Rover, and I think I've settled on Kashmir (for the Kashmir Sapphire, my affinity for Cashmere, Sapphire is my birthstone, and my Range Rover is Adriatic Blue. My only issue is that the Kashmir Sapphire is usually a lot brighter blue. My car more resembles a Beluga Sapphire, but that would just be confusing, since that was a Black LR color...)

Timmy, I like that color! Looks like a great truck...is it Willow Green? If so, maybe Willow? Otherwise, I don't know! :bigok:

I have been thinking of renaming my rover. She has been called Rover X but that just doesn't fit anymore. I hear-by re dub the "Handsome Molly"!:applause:

On occasion I will call ours the Anti Christ from the Gods Must be Crazy because I sound like the mechanic from the movie when I have to work on my DII.

This past weekend my friend named mine "The Boat". Yet another totally random thing to come out of his mouth. I've been racking my brain thinking of a name and I sure like this one!

I have become attached to the name "Scratches". It's fun to say and refer to a vehicle as that. Plus that's a perfect one for mine

::EEEEEK:: says the disco.
::HAHAHHAHA:: says the rock.
