Old style Rovertym springs?

Were the older Rovertym springs really that bad regarding sagging over time or was that only an issue with heavy off road use? Or was it just a myth?

Yep, they sagged, a lot. Rode great, but didn't last. the current generation is much better!

Yeah, the older style has a tendency to sag over time especially when you are carrying loads, and doing a lot of articulating. Had the 2" springs on a RRC and it is currently sitting at about 1" lower especially in the back and has a really soft ride. From what I have heard, the new ones are way better!

Old style were not fully scragged by manufacturer (why??). New ones supposedly are. No probs so far with mine (new).
