Does there need to be a reason? Chris Snell drove my truck for well over a thousand miles, I think. It wasn't a cherry NAS 110, but it wouldn't be any different if it was.Why would anyone let someone else drive their truck? LMAO.

Even me?I'd have no qualms with a LR tech and fellow owner driving any of my vehicles. It's not like John let some degenerate Jeep bro drive it.
Even me?
Hey Axel! Hope you are doing well. Just thinking about you. Wife and I are heading to Norway next month for vacation.I guess I am one of the old timers, i think. Does being one of the original founders of this site count? I'm still around from time to time, but rarely post anymore since I was transferred to Canada back in 2015. The original plan was to bring the Disco up here to Quebec, but it turned out to be too complicated to export/import a modified Rover. So it sadly had to be sold. I believe it is somewhere in Texas now.
I haven't picked up another Rover up here, I ended up getting a motorcycle license and a bike instead. The instructors mostly spoke french, but it's not that complicated if you already know how to drive a stick shift.
Ha! Did I buy that sweet LWB SE from you?Hey Axel! Hope you are doing well. Just thinking about you. Wife and I are heading to Norway next month for vacation.![]()
I actually don’t remember when. It was before the site changed to most showing 2004. Guessing it was around ‘96 as first Rover was a ‘95D90SW which of course wish I had kept.hard to believe I have been around here since 99.
Not what I expected at all, figured an old crusty hippie type.Good old Kenneth. Ran into him on a trip to the northern rim of the Grand Canyon back in 2003. Not what you expect in person with his online personality. Damn hard to believe I have been around here since 99.

I joined right after I got my 96 Disco in 97 but lurked for a long time before posting in 99. Yes i wish I had kept that one as well. I actually got back in touch with the old timer Nathan Crabtree last year. If you remember him, he ran Discount Rovers which later became discount british parts. Just one of the few I still see around. I know PT is still out and about posting on FB.I actually don’t remember when. It was before the site changed to most showing 2004. I just used my Discount Rovers mini-flat-head screwdriver the other day. It lives in my pen holder coffee cup here on my desk.I joined right after I got my 96 Disco in 97 but lurked for a long time before posting in 99. Yes i wish I had kept that one as well. Flying into Oslo for a few days , then up to Tromsø , hope to see the anrora and take a cruise around the fjords , hike and generally not think about work.Cool! Where in Norway are you going?
Hmmm, I’ve had a lot of rovers but only one LWB , which I still have, so mustn’t have been me.Ha! Did I buy that sweet LWB SE from you?
Maybe 2007ish?
I spent 9 months up north when I was in the Norwegian coastal artillery. Technically Navy, but we never left land. Make sure you catch the changing of the guards at the royal castle in Oslo, it's daily at 13:30. In Oslo, you can visit Akershus Castle, https://kultur.forsvaret.no/museer/akershus-slott/akershus-castle The Home resistance museum covering the German occupation during WW2 is also there. All tourists also want to see the Viking ships, but the Viking ship museum is closed for construction at the moment. The Vigeland Park is also nice, but maybe not so much in the winter. You can visit the National art museum and look for pictures by TH. Kittelesen, though. He was my grandfathers uncle. https://www.nasjonalmuseet.no/en/Flying into Oslo for a few days , then up to Tromsø , hope to see the anrora and take a cruise around the fjords , hike and generally not think about work.
