Bump for a nice truck. Whether you like Gem or not, its a well built Disco for sure.

Someone once told me that character is not determined by how much shit someone has to deal with, but in the manner by which they deal with the shit. Maybe that applies here as well - maybe not.

Gem - I wish you well. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

If she thinks the truck is worth 35k, give it to her for 30k.

Thanks folks. Sorry I sound so bitter, life's got its bumps, this is just one of them..

Keep that attitude man.

In '92 I went through similiar shit with my ex wife.

However instead of a built up rover it was a built up mustang.
She got the stang and proceeded to trade it in for a 90 Toyota 4x4.

Crap part is she left me with a '91 toyota I would have been more than happy to give her.

Just know this is a moment in time man shit will get better at some point.

Your disco is badass and if I could afford it I would buy it.

I wish you the best and hope all the shit your going through passes quickly.

Best of luck

Bump for a nice truck!

Same shit in '95. She was fucking around on me and I ended up with a chair a bed and a cheezy one bedroom apartment. All is well now, remarried two beautiful kids and a nice place (for me). Keep the faith brother and by all means take care of yourself!

Gem,

It's obvious you're going through some personal stuff right now. It sounds awful and you have my sympathies. I was merely curious about how much you paid for the limb risers because I thought it seemed a bit high. I shopped at the Home Disaster as well and built mine for less than half what you paid and it's all stainless including my swages and thimbles. I am not going to get into a pissing match over risers like the other thread regarding lockers. I simply thought it was a typo and was curious. Please be careful in assuming every reply to your post is a negative personal attack. It is not always the case.

Good luck with your hardships.

I didnt see it coming, but anytime your marriage involves a greencard, it can get hairy

Sorry to hear about the divorce man. My uncles going through that right now too. He married some gold digger (already on her 3rd husband) and she got pregnant and somehow has taken everything he owns except 1/2 the house which somehow she gets to be the real estate agent for and she has no intent on trying to sell it. She took the most of the money, his 2005 BMW 535xi, a Land Cruiser, and almost his son. She is one crazy bitch.

Anyways, its a beautiful truck. I am sure there is someone out there that will pick it up.

I feel like it's my responsibility to caution all here: last year my wife was in the rehab hospital for alcoholism and I was filled with hate. I got in a fight and broke a guys eye orbit. Now I owe him 25k and have a jail sentence.

Shit, sorry to hear that, remind me to not get into a bar brawl with you, sounds like you got a mean upper cut..

Does not ONE poster have the means or desire to own a pretty sweet rigg?

Good luck with your divorce. I don't have first-hand experience, but hearing the horrors makes me think its time for a new constitution (civil war).
I have the desire to buy your rig, just not the funds.

Hate to disappoint ya, but I know of 5 or 6 other D2's, set-up just like yours...so it's not the cutting edge trail rig (or rigg, seeing how you can't spell) you think it is. Price it right and you may be able to sell it...
