I am thinking about replacing the Bumpers on my D1, not finding many good options, what options do you suggest for a clean looking front steel bumper? I want to keep a close to stock look. maybe two tabs for fog lights, maybe recovery points, maybe hitch receiver for recovery/temp winch

Anything with a hitch receiver is going to be custom. Terra Firma is pretty stockish looking. Or maybe a wideface RTE.

The one SCSL linked looks good. Or the RTE wideface is stockish looking. Hitch receiver on front is horrid.

I used to know a fabricator in the UK that made a winch bumper using the stock bumper. He had an extremely well designed winch Cradle that was somewhat recessed and didn't stick out much in the front. I think he had to cut some of the grill but I can't remember. It allowed him to retain the stock end caps.

Always liked that wider D4x4/AB style bumper. The slim line bumpers always made the trucks look a little imbalanced to me

I am looking into the

RTE wideface, about $900 (Without the brushbar)

Britpart, about $400

RTE is 1/4 steel, Britpart is 5mm, is the extra 1.35 mm in steel thickness worth the extra money?

Here's my take: it depends on how much hard wheeling you're going to do. Britpart gets picked on on this board, but they make a good product. My son has the Britpart bumper on his truck and it has stood up to some significant abuse. Looks clean, and you said you wanted it to look stockish. Unless you're doing frequent heavy off roading, I would save the $500 and go Britpart. Just factor in a few extra bucks to buy the swivel recovery shackles that attach to those round holes to either side of the winch tray. I think they run $70. On the other hand, if you change your mind and plan on turning it into a trail rig, go RTE and factor in extra money for a skid plate.

Thank you all, I am not going to wheel this D1 often, I just want it to be a little better, I am somewhat following Dan's Rover 2.0 thread as a guide, leaning towards the Britpart along with a 2"lift

Will Tillery recently finished doing plugs, cables, all cooling lines, fresh fluids, all break pads and rotors, new fan, clutch, thermostat, water pump, AC condensation drain line, another fuel pump, crank position sensor, etc.

Some pics of how the bumper will look on your truck (DII version). Very clean.
