I have a 97 D1 that is used for offroading only and I decided to ditch all the air conditioning stuff on the truck(easier to clean the radiator out after a trip, and less crap to work around in the engine bay). I'm curious as to what everyone thinks I should do with the auxillary fans that were mounted to the condenser? Ditch em and run with just the belt driven fan(I'm guessing that gives the radiator a sufficient amount of air flow to properly cool the engine)? Or custom mount the fans with an on/off switch(I'm also guessing I can just use the original a/c switch for that?) for extra cooling on hot days when the going gets slow on the trails?
