Hello Good People,
I am missing the little plastic tree like oil separator in my breather tube.
Before picking up one on eBay is there an alternative to one that can be picked up at a hardware store etc?

Also what are the negative effects of not having this little device missing in action. I want to know if I am already feeling the negative effects.

Thanks

You probably just have more oil making its way into the intake. I would just keep driving it until the replacement arrives. It can’t cause that much harm.

My Upgrade is for a D2, but on a GEMS D1 all you have to do is keep that baffle out, and just install a PCV inline on that hose.

Literally, 45 minutes ago I started assessing “resealing / gasketing” a used engine I bought (only 26,000 miles 😊) to install in a D1. First thing I pulled off was that hose on the valve cover and a piece of the baffle came out with it. I came back in from the garage to do one of my usual “new post check ins” and this was at the top...

On the GEMs setup, is there a different PCV to use?

Thanks Best4x4,
Would the PCV valve be installed where the threads of the PCV face upward or downward?

Would you recommend a FV308 PCV Valve or would I need something smaller?

Thanks
