Last night I was very low on gas and pulled into the local watering hole for a beer. When I went back to start my 97 disco she would not start:banghead: My friend drove me home and today I went back with some gas and the old girl still will not start. Any idea's where to start?? Thanks to all

Probably fried the fuel pump if you went that low - assuming that very low meant the light was on? The fuel in the tank cools the pump, and if you don't have sufficent fuel to pump, it'll burn out the pump.

Had the exact same thing happen to my '98 Ford Ranger a few years ago. The way I could tell with the ranger was to turn the key to battery on, and listened for the buzz of the pump.

Call Will Tillery........... pull up your carpet in the rear loadspace and remove the fuel pump access cover. The rest is self explanatory.............. very easy and quick to change the pump......... 30 mintues start to finish........ check your harness that goes to the pump for corrosion on the connectors. As stated above turn the key to the on position when the carpet is up and listen for the pump to run.
