"HO2S Heater Circuit Inferred Open Circuit, Downstream Sensors" --- P1193

I bought a new O2 sensor now I just have to install. Can someone tell me where it is exactly located?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

That code indicates that the rear O2 sensors heating circuit isn't working properly. It could be one or both. How did you confirm your need for a sensor?

I didn't know what else to do... What could be the problem?

O2 sensors have a heater int hem to accelerate the time to get them functioning.

The heater is controlled by the computer, and the computer, setting that code, it indicated that the circuit is not complete.

Could be a fuse, or the relay, or the wiring. Or, the sensor it'sself.

I would check the heater circuit on the questionable o2 with a Ohmmeter. I dont have the spec off the top of my head, but I'll look it up.

Ok, back... Heater circuit should ohm at 4-19 ohms.

Also, the heaters are powered by Fuse F3, in the top row of the fuse panel located in the cockpit.

There are 4 sensors in the exhaust system. The upstreem ones are screwed into the exhaust pipe before the catlyist.
THe Downstream ones are screwed into the pipe after the catalyst.

Each sensor has 4 wores coming from it.
