P Codes for D1

Check engine light with following P codes, P1178 and P1179, no other codes present

Local independant shop says mixture parameters are exceeding both rich and lean settings.

Check engine light has been a problem since day one

New MAF and cats were installed within last 4 months

Can anyone offer diagnosis on possible issue(s) creating P codes?

Sounds like lazy O2 sensor(s) to me. They get slow to react (lazy) and don't correct fast enough to keep the mixture in the spec range. Good luck....
