P0154 code

Hello,

About a month ago I got the 150 & 174 codes so I replaced that O2 sensor and erased the codes. Everything was fine for a couple of weeks. Last week the SES light came on and I got the same codes plus the P1174 one. I replaced the MAFS with a new Bosch one last night. I erased the codes today and about an hour later the SES light came back on with the P0154, P0174, P1174 codes. I know it's the same sensor, so... did I just have bad luck and replaced the sensor a month ago with another bad one or is it something else???

TIA, Lynwood

Do a search for PXXXX on the forum here. Tons of information on those codes.

Oh and from the sticky on this forum

ARGH!

"My truck is broken-help me", is not enough information.

If you have only one Rover, put the damned year and model in your profile!!!

Sorry about that, 2000 DII.

As for the code, I know P0154 is for the same sensor I just replaced. I did search prior to posting the question but I didn't find an instance of someone with a bad sensor and replace it with what turned out to be another bad sensor. What I am asking (poorly, I suppose) is is it likely the the brand new sensor is also bad or should I look in a different direction?

Thanks

Ah, okay.

You can try switching the O2 sensor to the other side and see if it changes the code to the appropriate side. You'd then know if it's a bad sensor. Lets start with that and go from there. Otherwise, might be some leaking on the sensor causing an issue.
