Can someone explain what exactly causes a P030X misfire code to be thrown? Its always been my assumption that its only a failure to complete the electrical circuit (i.e. the failure of the current to arc at the spark plug) that throws those particular codes. Is my assumption correct or can the codes also get thrown if there is spark but, for whatever reason, no combustion?
