I am getting p0452 (fuel tank pressure sensor) fault on my D2. I cannot for the life of me figure our why. I tried installing a spare fuel pump I have (sensor is built into pump) and still getting the code.

Nanocom reads as follows:
P0452
occurs during drive cylce c
signal too high

I can clear the code, but it immediately comes back.
Any ideas?

Could it be that a drive cycle MUST be completed before the code disappears even though I cleared them with my Nanocom?

Background.....finishing up a body swap. Its the last code. I put an 03 body on my 01. I kept all the 01 engine harnesses, ECU, BCM, etc and stuff. Not sure what would be throwing this code.

Maybe the fuel tank fill hose/ overflow clamps need to be tightened or fuel cap not sealing?

The ECU does take some cycles to relearn stuff. Maybe put some miles with short and long trips on it to see how things shake out.

I figured it out today. i performed some electrical wizardry after much studying in the RAVE manual. On connecter 4 (C0637) on the ECM i switch pin 12 to pin 14 and also switch pin 31 to pin 9. This got the correct signals to my fuel tank pressure sensor.

When I did the swap I kept all the engine harnesses and computers, but I did not keep the harness that lives within the dash and there laid the problem. The donor body was from a 03 with secondary air so I had to rewire to make my non-SAI engine and computer happy.

I am pumped (and quite proud of myself haha) and I will drive to the emissions place tomorrow (I live in metro Atlanta area) and get my tag!
