P0455 - Gas Cap!?

ok, got it replaced like a month ago, got this code like within the week so cleared it... another two weeks go by and get it again. HoW and WhY??? Is their something else I need to do?

I'm not near the rave right now but I do belive that code is indicitive of a failed purge valve. If so there is a hundaye? Part # that is cheaper and a direct fit.

It could be the purge valve, but that usually sets a P0442 which is an EVAPs small leak. I would be leaning towards a leaking DMTL pump. Also, this may seem stupid, but check to make sure your gas cap is fully sealed against the filler neck.

Went through the same thing - easy fix, tried the gas cap, no workie, purge valve fixed it.

yep. and usually it will pass the dmtl pump test making it a pita to diagnose. I think now it is avail separate of the filler neck.

You need a new gas cap then. The threads get tight over time. You can also lube the threads with some silicone spray lubricant.
