Paint Codes?

How can I specify to a painter the exact color of my truck?

I found the links to the paint code tables on disco2.com, but I am a little confused by them.

I have a North American 1999 Disco 2 in the "white". It of course has a Land Rover name to describe the color more uniquely, but I don't know what it is.

the list from Rovers North has 3 whites
1] Alpine White, Type = Solid , Code=456
2] Chawton White , Type = Solid , Code = 603
3] Davas White, Type = Solid, Code = 354

hope this helps you, there should be a paint name and code in the engine bay, up front under the lip when you pop the hood errrr i mean Bonnet -Andy

After looking, it turns out that I don't have the badge under the hood with the paint name/code. I looked there and on the drivers doorjam. I'm going to dig through my paperwork and see if it is listed there somewhere.

or you could call a dealer, especially if you have had the truck in for service anytime, they can look with your vin# and I think that will tell the color also, good luck -Andy

How did you end up determining the color Craig? I have the same problem, no sticker onder the bonnet.

just cal your dealer, tell them you want a touch up paint kit (its both paint and clearcoat) and they will ask for the VIN, then ask them for the code... worked here!

I called the dealer and he looked it up by the VIN. It took him about 90 seconds.
