It is the responsibility of the individual to comply with state firearms laws when going from one to another. Is it a bummer that dude got arrested in NJ for guns he legally purchased elsewhere? Totally - but it's not the responsibility of the federal government to hold his hand and help him from one state to another. Compliance is HIS responsibility - not the government's. You can either be for states' rights and allow them room to regulate that which is federally legal, or you can support the supremacy of the federal government - you really can't have it both ways, Mark.

...and no, Obama isn't going to take away our guns. If that was going to happen, it would have happened already. Don't be silly. The President supports some very basic gun-control laws, like running background checks before sales. In fact, the VAST majority of Americans support the exact same measures. There has to be some basic regulation of the sale of dangerous weapons to make it more difficult for violent criminals to obtain them. I'm extremely pro-gun, but I don't want violent offenders buying them just because "they sure looked like nice fellers".
