Panhard bolt tightening

I recently undid the center lock nut thing with the allen screw in it on the steering box by mistake. I've played hell getting it tight enough but not too tight and as a result I've had some death wobble. I had absolutely zero death wobble before this occurred.

I think I have it to the correct tightness (the WAVE is useless, and talks about removing something and turning something whilst feeling for backlash) and still feeling some death shimmy.

I decided to check my panhard thing. I have a new (less than 20k miles) Terra Firma adjustable panhard rod with polyurethane bushings but I checked the nuts on them and they were turnable. I tightened them up - my question is this:

Is there a "too" tight for these? Or should they be reasonable guy with 1/2" breaker bar holding the other side with an open ended wrench tight? Because that's what I put on them. Didn't throw my ass into it but used the leverage to tighten.

The bushings are new and look good.

Before I go driving around I want to make sure that tight is right, and that they shouldn't have some give in them.

Edit: I didn't see a torque figure in the RAVE for thse but I found for Discovery II the Panhard rod should be 170 lb/foot.

That means more ass behind it I think. Hell I found my torque wrench, which I thought I lost, and not sure it has that much ass.

Thanks.

There's practically no "too tight" on the Panhard rod bushing - unless you go to town with a cheater bar enough to crush the sleeve.
