I would love a hard top TDI 90 with A/C (prefer a crew cab 110....) I was just wondering if the Range Rover with the isuzu tdi would be better for a daily driver. A Defender with a V8 wouldn't help me with the gas mileage. I am told that the RR with the Isuzu TDI gets around 27 mpg with good performance.

The 109" with the 2.25 NA diesel is fine for around town, but it just doesn't have the powerI want for a DD.

LOL, so much fun that I'm buying a Toyota Tundra. Next rally, the 90 is riding on a flatbed. :)

Hehe.. Yeah we have been tossing around what to get as the next family hauler, but it will definitely have to be able to tow around a rover on a flatbed.:D

I would say put a diesel motor in your D2 but that would be very difficult (although not impossible). So in my opinion a D1 or a RRC with a TDI in it would be perfect for a DD, comfy and efficient (for a LR).

I have a D90 soft top as a daily driver.

There is nothing, I mean nothing that can beat the feeling. Not my 4.6 DII, not my Series IIA, no RRC. Nada fugin thing can come close. That said, the Series IIA has panache all its own that the D90 can't touch.
