Interesting, I thought DS was bank 1. I'm assuming Cam sensor "A" is on bank 1? There's easier ways to get an inspection done in jersey haha. Knowing the engine wont grenade in the near future would be valuable too. Truck is actually nice and quiet at startup. Tapping starts after 1 minute. I'll post a vid if I have time. Spoke to the PO today. Truck hasnt had an oil change in almost 2 years! Sat for 1.5 years once they got their new Rover. Last change was 0w30. I'll have time this weekend to change oil/ filter and throw in a new timing tensioner. Might get lucky... or might rebuild the front of the motor. I'm curious to see if their is plastic in the oil or oil filter. I wish I had a fucking garage.

After 4 classic RR's I thought it be nice to treat myself on a L322 two years ago. It was expensive but seemed to have it all. the 4.4 V8 is amazing, never driven anything like it. the power and class of the car make you forget about the MPG... but then electronic errors started to come up, and in the year after they never left.... from faulty air flow mass meters to ABS sensors to gearbox switches and unexplainable engine management fault codes.. fuck man.. the thing drove me desperate.

until last year when I ran into a 1998 300tdi disco: sold the L322 loosing almost 6000 euros, don't ever wanna look back, and I'm glad to be back in a hammer-and-scewdriver-repairable car.

so, it's up to you. still have an RSW solutions cable for sale if you like, cant run a L322 without it.

I love the L322, but I'm probably gonna stick to the D2 for now. After getting 3 feet of snow I realize that this is gonna be sitting until May before I can fix it up. D2 is getting up there in miles and is gonna need some work, but I trust it. If anyone is looking for a project shoot me a pm.
