Well, the day is finally here.

I got a car hauler attached to a P38 in the drive.

Tomorrow morning I will embark on a 10 hour round trip journey to pick up my new Series IIa.

I've "had" 3 Series III's in my short lifetime, just long enough to import them, clean them up, and sell them for a short profit.

This is finally the one I get to keep.

I almost talked myself out of it everyday up until now.

Up until Wednesday, I wasn't even sure if it was going to happen.

And finally, Im determined. Im set. The guy has his money via paypal and I am headed out at 9am to go pick it up.

Now I just need a rear tub, roof, wings, radiator, and mastercylinder....

God, please cure me of this disease.

It turned out to be a complete piece of garbage and I had the guy refund my money...

It was a bad deal...so I harnessed my inner self control and made him an offer of what I thought it was worth. He countered and I walked away.

I just drove a ten hour round trip with a trailer in tow...for nothing.

Atleast I knew better than to waste my money on a cancer ridden pit.

It was exactly what I was looking for too which was the hardest part....

Series IIa, Lhd, 88. That's what I wanted. But, now Im thinking I want a 109. If anybody needs the parts, it's on the richmond craigslist for $1500 for the motor and the other parts.

Damnit.

That just sucks and I'm sure it made for a long, frustrating drive home. In the end you made the right decision and a better one will pop up soon.
