Unexpected snow in Death Valley.

Followed soon after by unexpected no-start, with subsequent unexpected towing by my friend's toyota and shortly after that (somewhat) unexpected broxen axle and cv for the toyota.

d'oh!

Kennith is that a dryer vent on that truck? Man I miss the snow, just looking at RJs pictures were great, that's what I love about trucks you can get inside and stay warm.

1/2" already? You must be in the thick of it. We've got a whole millimetre or two here... actually there is some pretty decent icing out there, so far there have been a couple of vehicles off the road including one overturned.

But yes, Randy's right -- I'm packing a nice heavy sleeping bag just in case (the same one that has been in my truck for the last month). Y'all be careful out there! :)

My Disco is OOS right now anyway -- it's in 2WD while I await a new driveshaft and I am working on the rear lighting in preparation for a rear bumper order. I tried using some LED lamp assemblies that I had handy, and it works nice for the rear fogs, but I am going to need to add another slightly wider angle turn indicator before I am happy with it all. And possibly add a power resistor to present enough of a load to stop the electronics doing the quick flash (bulb failure) thing.

This isn't much for you guys that live in the more snowy regions of the US but here in TN you take what you get. It snowed here for maybe 3 hours yesterday off and on.

Gotta love a good sense of humor!!!

I doubt we had more than a half inch in Eastern Pa/Western NJ this morning. But it was colder than a witches tit. The Big Dawg started right up and was wonderfully warm all the way in. Thank God for heated seats......but like you, I had blankets in the truck JUST IN CASE!!! LOL

Here's my Discovery on Polebridge Road just outside of Glacier National Park last Winter. Not yet enough snow here this year for any good pictures.
