Anybody put Plasti-dip on their shock bodies? The only downside I can think of is it might inhibit heat dissipation. Valid concern or not so much?

Why not just rattle can it black. The only benefit of plastidip is the ability to undo it. But do you need that with an OME dampner?

Yeah.. I could just rattle can it. I honestly had never thought about painting it until this thread came up. The only reason I would even bother is because its the first thing your eye is drawn to when looking at the truck from the front.

I know! But I actually kinda like the yellow damper. It used to compliment my big yellow SouthDown fuel skid quite nicely.

I've actually used plastidip on a number of parts on my DD including blacking out the chrome logos. It's pretty cool stuff. I'm not sure how well it would work on shocks though. I guess it depends on how much abuse they see. It great until it starts to lift and then it's pretty much over. So if you have a lot of contact with branches or other item it might be short lived.
