Please Help! 98 disco squealing.

I have a 98 discovery with 90k miles. It recently began idiling rough and missing when under hard acceleration. I got the codes from Adavanced and decided to start with new plug wires, as the plugs were replaced last year. This morning I changed the wires and cleaned the K and N air filter. As the filter was drying, I replaced the the filter box lid and started the car (in the garage) for about 10 seconds. A high pitched squeal immediately developed as the idle settled. I replaced the filter later and the noise persisted at low rpms. I checked for loose hoses and nothing seems to be loose.

Can someone please help?
