Upgrade how? I saw a HD air line kit for like $75. That what you're talking about?

Yeah I plan to run the exhaust outside the cab. I just bought a Puma 12v compressor from TSCOTTG on here. I figure I'll fill the tank at the start of the day so the tank will be full and ready to go when I want to engage.

i dont know which one, it had a stainless line and some different fittings. there are a few out there though. totally worth it, i have seen the lines bust and it ruins a day especially on a tough trail.

Anybody using brake line or similar? Should be able to withstand the pressure and be more durable than the plastic line.

Well yeah, some sort of flexible line would be needed where the line goes from the chassis to the axle. I'll check out Powertank.

Crown Performance also makes HD ARB air lines and are priced similar to the polys. You can also custom order any length you may need. Just another alternative to consider.

When I built my onboard air/C02 system I was able to source everything locally; including push-lock fittings, brake air hose and air switches- I only spent about a third of the money I would have if I ordered through online off-road vendors. Something to consider if you want to save a few bucks and support your local economy.

If you smell oil in the cab when disengaging the ARB, you most likely have a failed o-ring. These are sealed systems and you should not smell oil coming through the air line muffler when you disengage.

Just go to Midway truck parts and get the parts there. Flexible brake line tubing has been around for years on trucks for a reason. I still am running the original 15 year old solenoids that can with the lockers. I planned on upgrading if they break. They have a vast selection of switches available. I'll take the stock solenoid of your hands if you are not going to use it. I'll get it from you in Oct.

Got the locker used in a third from Will last Nov. No switches or solenoid. So since I have to buy that stuff I figure I'd go with the simplest set up. Which is probably cheaper than buying a new solenoid anyways.

Dumb question. Are the fittings oriented UP or DOWN so when the toggle is up the locker is on?

I got everything plumbed but when i flip the toggle UP I hear air out of the exhaust. The pneumatic switch is oriented with the air lines pointing Down.

Also, should I hear any noise in the diff when I engage the locker?

I can't hear anything when I engage my locker, only the pressure release when I turn them off. I had to jack up my truck and spin the tires to see if they were working.

A Clippard switch will be marked IN, OUT and EXHT. If using a JTEK switch, "A" port will go to the ARB, "E" for the exhaust and "1" is the inlet (I think).

No noise when engaging unless you have a leaky locker.
