My local shop wants me to get a second opinion at the ?stealership? to see if in fact the ECU is shot. He informed me that the ECU's are prone to have bad solder joints in them and they break down over time (122K+ on the truck). I?ve tried searching for ECU but it tells me that the search term is too short so I can?t look up any info on the part.
What search terms do I need to use? How much would one of these things set me back? Best place to buy?
