Power Slot Brake Rotors???

My winter project for the D1 is upgrading brakes. I've looked at DBA, EBC, and have now found a local distrubuter (Denver) for Power Slot rotors and Axxis pads. The rotors look alot like the EBC's (slotted and dimpled), but are cadmium plated instead of anodized (they claim "military spec" for what thats worth) and can be cryo'd for about the same price.
Anyone have any experience with these?
How about Axxis metal master pads?

Thanks

I went with plain Brembo rotors and Axxis ultimate pads, along with one of the front caliper spacer kits from GBR. The latter allows the use of the thicker vented rotors for an RRC up front.

IMO there is no great need for slots or drilling. The RRC vented rotors up front are a great upgrade to keep the temps down while not packing with mud or weakening the rotors like slots or cross drilling could. The plain Brembo rotors are way cheaper than any of the slotted/drilled rotors and the money saved will cover the cost of the front caliper spacers. shop around for the Brembos as prices vary quite a bit dealer to dealer.

I would not pay for cryo unless you are going to do some serious brake abuse, this tratement is usually only worth it for race rotors to ge a bit extra life. the plain Brembos are not plated and will rust, so mask off the friction surfaces and spreay them with some high temp paint before installing to avoid looking at the rust.

The Axxis ultimates have great initial bite and resistance to fading. I run them on my car as well and have been happy with them in both applications. They do dust quite a bit so your wheels will need cleaning more often. But the extra stopping power is a good tradeoff in IMO for the Disco.

For what its worth, I had powerslots and axxis pads on a mistubishi GSX and they worked significantly better than the stock rotors/pads at all speeds. The pads are a little abrasive, so you can expect your rotors to wear a little faster, but they did work well. I'm not sure how they will work on a large SUV though.

I found them at Action Automotive between 11th and 12th on Yampa (303-904-6900). Its a new line for them, so its an order in kind of thing. Fronts are 292/PSL and PSR $74.36 ea, Rears are 440/PSL and PSR, $74.16 ea. The cryo'd versions are CSL's, and run about $102 ea front and rear. They stock the axxis pads, $56 fronts, and $36 rear.
DISCLAIMER!! - I haven't seen these rotors and have only the manufactures part number to say that they actually fit.

I went with the EBC slotted dimpled greenstuff package that Atlantic British had on sale a couple months ago. I noticed on the rears that the rotors were actually Brembo's.

Very happy w/the braking on the street so far. Big difference from stock.
