Power Steering Pump

The power steering pump took a dump, and I am a few hundred miles from the dealership. It is loud and sometimes feels like there is no power steering. My question is if I keep the resevoir full of fluid would it be safe to drive? I am going to be trading it in for an LR3 due to all the problems I've been having. It is a 2003 by the way. If it fails and does not lock up I can muscle my way down the road.

yes kep it full and muscle it home, if its already bad you wont hurt it worse!

well if it locks up, it will burn the belt off and you wont have a water pump, or charging. so you wont be able to drive far without a water pump. the other scenario is that the pulley will come off and the same results will happen. drive till one or the other happens
