I have a 89 RRC with 3.9L EFI. I power washed the engine at a car wash. Initally, the engine would not start. It cranked with no apparent spark. After 20 minutes, it started; but, has run rough ever since. I have checked connections and vacuum hoses and did not find problems. Any suggestions? Thanks, John

You have water in your electrics. The most common would be in the dist cap. take some compressed air and blow out all the water.(be diligent and don't send any parts flying) blow out the area around the spark plugs. if it still runs rough then keep drying out all other areas. you'll have to unplug and clean out all the electrical connections. fuel inj., air meter, coil, relays, etc.

WD-40 is your friend. Spray inside your distributor cap, wipe it out, drive on. Also could be the coil wire at the coil. I carry WD-40 with me whenever I got to the car wash...
