This is pretty much SOP for the Coast Guard and the Navy wherever they're operating. If a vessel is in need, they'll do something up about it. What your seeing here is just the work of a really diligent Public Affairs Officer who's flagging the incidents and sharing the details with the press.

It seems to be a good way to get a ship close and then have Rhamboozira jump out of the bow with a big fucking rocket. KA-BOOOM!

Then they report it as defending theirselves because they were being attacked.

Since the USS Cole Oct 12, 2000 - Shipboard search and seizures have changed quite a bit - don't think they drive mother right up to the d'how, they launch the RHIB with the SSB Team (armed and ready).
