I just installed the proline 30mm steering rod set on my 99 DII. I have to say I am impressed with the quality and fit. the only exception is the lack of a grease zerk on the ends.

I'm mixed on having the zerks, I like the idea of greasable but like ricey said, the lowers are susceptible to damage.

the lack of zerks was not a deal breaker for me. I expect these will outlast my ownership of the car and should serve for many years to come.

The problem with grease fittings on parts is that the vast majority of people will not actually grease them.

yes you are correct. and on another note, the original set up was a much weaker design and was also without zerks and it lasted 180000miles before failure. so i will just monitor their condition and if i have a premature failure i can just replace that end with a new end with a zerk.

True, and they'll be under warranty for a year anyways. After that if you shoot me a message they'll be $8 each for a replacement
