Putting aftermarket sunroofs in a Disco?

Hello,

I'm hoping to be a newbie Disco owner soon, and a particular Disco I've found (a '95) doesn't have the factory dual sunroofs. From what I've read, this may be ok since the factory ones like to leak?!? However, I think part of what makes this discos so cool is the dual sunroofs. How easy/hard is it to put aftermarket sunroof(s) in? They don't have to be powered. I'd be happy with non-electric sunroofs. But what I don't know is if its even possible. Perhaps there are bracing or other things about a disco roof that will prevent me from installing sunroofs, I don't know. I want to install a sunroof (or sunroofs) myself though. I've done a few before and it's not too bad, but those were in Toyota pickups and the roofs on those are like soda cans.

Thanks,

This would require alot of cutting, and a new headliner (which aren't cheap) or cutting the old head liner. With all the DI's running around i'm sure you could find one with sunroofs. Also i have never had a problem with my factory sunroofs leaking. I would tend to think you would have more trouble with after market sunroofs leaking. But thats just my $.02.

When I bought my Disco from the dealer as a CPO, it had a custom cut front sunroof.. the thing is great.. one push open and close, it closes itself automatically when i turn the key off [unless i interrupt it] ..

I wish I had more information about pricing and everything.. but I believe the dealer did the installation of it.
