Contemplating replacing (no no no!) or adding to the current Land Rover collection, which consists of a DI.

Are the Range Rover interiors from 2003 or 2004 ever actually black (not that medium gray). Did any of these puppies ever come with a second moonroof? (How the hell did I get spoiled into having to have a second moonroof, even as I clear codes at stoplights now?)

2004 westminster is the only one available with black interior. They are out there, but the sand interior is great too. When purchasing a RR the rule of thumb is to buy the newest you can afford. I found a great deal on a white one that I love.

There is a white one on CL locally for 14K... it appears to be legit... hmmm

if you want the bmw motor purchase an 05 vrs prior yrs, best of both worlds.
by 05 they had worked the majority of issues and were looking forward to introducing the advanced electronics of the 06 jaguar powered models. thus if issues arise you can use electronic components of the later year units so as long as they are not coded.
one of these interchange parts is a very expensive failure of the navigation screen.
if your truck turns out to be a lemon 05 you will be happy to find jag parts that fit, if it is a pre 05 to 03 best of luck.
also make sure the front diff recall has been completed.
congrats and good luck hunting and finding a decent model.

03-04 is alot easier to swap in the MK4 or whatever BMW upgrades though. there is way more freedom with that than the Denso stuff in 05+
