Everyone, thank you very much for the advice. I was able to recover the pictures from our trip and therefore I'm no longer in deep s**t with the wife. It cost me about $50 but it was worth it. Now we can reminisce about our weeklong stay in Ouray. If you haven't been there, go!

Ducati, I actually did use the PhotoRescue software, along with a SanDisk reader that I bought at Circuit City. Worked like a charm.

Nice to see other 'geeks' who have servers running in their homes. Most people look at me crosseyed when I tell them about all of the machines setup in my computer room.

My servers are all mostly located at data centers.. does that count? I still have a linux and a openbsd box locally tho!
