Question on Keyless Remote

I found a keyless entry remote for my 95 Disco on ebay. My kid mistook my old one for a miniature hockey puck and shattered it to bits.

The Seller looks reputable so no problems there. Will I need to get this remote programmed at the dealer, or are there some on-line instructions available?? Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Mike in Toronto.

The tech section has instructions under Alarm Remote Program. I bought my remote from ebay as well, ended up needing new batteries but better than buying a new one.

Thanks guys.

Found it in the tech section. What can I say - I'm a newbie. I'll catch on sometime

Update:

Received my keyless remote via ebay. Looks okay, batteries fine. Pretty sure I'm following the instructions in the tech section - tried it a couple of dozen times - still can't get it to work. What the fook am I doing wrong?? Any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Mike in Toronto.

2nd update:

Figured it out. Was having a brain cramp at the time. Instructions in the Tech Section worked like a charm.

Thanks again!

1 or 2?

Mike,

Was that a one or two button remote?

Was wondering if anyone knew if the one button remote programming instructions in the TECH section worked for the 2 button remotes?

If so, which button do you push in step 10? Lock or unlock?

Also, does this programming work for non-alarm vehicles...a.k.a. "remote controlled central door locking"?

HI Sandman.

It is the one button model that I was able to program. I gather from your post that are trying to program two remotes?? If not, I don't believe you need to depress any button on the remote itself.
