Hi,

i just purchased a 2017 Discovery Sport HSE. I like everything about the car except the infotainment system which is a few years behind what I have seen in other 2017 cars.

I am interested if anyone has any idea how to update it to the latest firmware version.
It has no wifi or sim card so I guess the update is done via the SD card. I was unable to find any information how to download the firmware and how to install it.

The other option would be to change the whole system with something modern that also has the “InControl” system. Did anyone on this forum try this?

Thank you and all the best!

You have a low line infotainment system. It’s called in control touch. The higher line system is called I control touch pro.
The cheapest and best way to update your infotainment system is to go buy a truck that has what you are looking for. Today all these systems are so intertwined that you will mess up systems you would never believe should have been effected.

Hi,
Thank you for the response!
Do you mean sell this one and buy another car? I don’t think that’s feasible right now but I will check the market.
Thanks!
