Hi, just had a quick newbie question on the sls to coil conversion. I'm looking to switch out of sls air bags and into stock height coil springs. I've been looking at the usual vendors, and am slightly confused as to whether or not I need to install shocks with the springs for the rear. For example, Atlantic British's coil conversion kit does not include shocks, but OME package on the same page seems to include shocks along with springs. Thanks in advance for clearing this up.

The answer to your question is yes. The sls system uses a different shock than the coil spring shock set up. When my sls system went out, I went to a junk yard and found coils for 60.00 a piece. I bought one shock from the junk yard, but the other was damaged(the wrecked DII had 7,000 miles on it). I bought the other one from the dealer $170.00. If you want to convert to factory coils, I have a set from a 2004 DII with 19,000 miles on them. I have coils and shocks for the front and rear. Send me a reply or an E-mail.
