Random SAI Noise

Was sitting in traffic the other day and all of a sudden the SAI turns on while I'm stopped and I hear the typical dust buster noise. Was on for a few seconds and then went off. Happened about 2 times.

No codes on my ScanGauge. Any thoughts on what's going on?

Thanks

I think its just a self test of the system. When it runs on a cold start it's actually doing it's job. But sometimes it will want to complete a readiness test.

That is probably the system doing an "active" test of the SAI system.
Thanks you're probably spot on. My simple logic would've been test done when active. Must decide/programmed to do that about once a month just see if we're still awake. That type of system test OK in LRs but not so good on an Airbus.

Just drove my truck again today and it did it twice but only when stopped. It's pretty loud but short. I hope it's just a random test but maybe I've got a leak due to a broken hose? I'll need to inspect them this weekend.

Now onto fixing my P1590 due to my seriously squeaking brakes...
