I have a 2000 Range Rover HSE and battery went dead. When I try to charge it and start the engine the alarm went off and I cannot even start the car to produce more current. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

nice avatar. p38's have a deep cell gel battery from the factory. these batteries have to be slowly charged back to level. i have an interstate battery, i took it to my local interstate dealer and had them slow charge it. works fine. they also did this free of charge.
