So, before I bought my disco it was bumped right below the driver headlight. The driver door is no longer aligned. It rubs the guide when closing, the window frame rubs the B pillar when closing, and the wind noise is evident. How would you straighten this? I have looked at RAVE and searched here....

There are two bolts inside the door that control the height of the door frame. You need to get your door panel off to be able to see them. Iirc it's a 15mm that should be at the bottom of your. If you follow your black window guides they should lead you righ to them. They are in opposite corners of each other. Check the tech section on rear window regulator repair and ther should be some pictures. D1's and the D2's are similar in there tear down process.

if not you need to do the realignment with the hinges. This method with work but it is a complete pain in the ass. You need your floor jack to support the door, and FYI roll your glass down prior to any of this and don't be surprised with the weight of the door itself.

no front quarter panel removal needed. open the door, support the bottom of the door on a two by four which is held up by your floor jack. you will see the hinges in the door jamb, loosen the bolts on the door side and adjust. if you adjust on the vehicle side you will get all screwed up. A little adjusting goes a long ways. Also, this takes some time to get perfect and is a complete pain in the ass. I ended up having to take the whole door off and adjust the hinges, then replace it, this method requires removing electronics.

I had the same issue on the passenger side of my D1 after a front-end collision. I ended up removing one of the shims under one of the hinges and then some good old fashion manual persuasion of the door got it aligned pretty good.
