So in looking over a few posts more people are asking about taking them off! Hoping you all can help me put one back on... I read a post or two about two sided tape?? Doesn't sound very robust, but if that's how it goes, can anyone post a link to the product I need? And any advice on how to remove the old stuff would be great. Light sandpaper?
Thanks kindly for any tips:)

I have D1 so they weren't on to start with but after some wheelwell modifying in the effort to free up some space for larger tires I riveted a set on to cover up the trimming. Been on for close to 4 yrs. Not sure how they attach from factory?

I tried twice to go the tape route and could never get them to stay. I tried every thing, wax and grease remover both time to clean the surface, heating them, never could get them to hold. I ended up leaving the tape on the lip to get a little height in there and ran a semi-liberal bead of 3m emblem adhesive on the top side of the doubled sided tape, mounted them, and then taped them up from the wheel well to the door while it cured. That was about a year and a half to two years ago and they are still good. Minus one corner on one that I apparently didn't get enough on. I had to take mine off to smooth and then truck bed line.
