Joshua Cline, Dave Squire, Steve Taylor and possibly Jake Krug will be representing the FLRC in the Four Wheeler's Real Truck Club Challenge! Real Truck Club Challenge will be held at the Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, Indiana, August 11-13 (Friday through Sunday), 2006

Real Truck Club Challenge is a grassroots, club-based event in which 20 four-person teams are chosen by the Four Wheeler staff from entries received. Teams will be divided into two classes based on tire size. The teams will compete in a variety of off-highway events. The criteria they used in selecting the participants included, but was not limited to, the aesthetics of the vehicle, its build quality, and its conformity to RTCC rules. A cash prize of $1500.00 for first place, $1000.00 for runner up, and $500.00 for third in each class will be awarded.

The truck they will drive will be Josh’s 97 Disco. For those that have seen it, you know it is extremely well set up. Josh had most of the modifications done at Lokey Adventure Center. A list of mods can be seen below for those that wish to duplicate the sickness. “Just give it more GAS” is Josh’s motto, so you know they will be giving it all she’s got. The FLRC will be sponsoring them in the way of a $200 cash donation to help ease the financial burden. Lokey Adventure Center will be sponsoring them in the way of providing spare parts and supplies. There will also be additional fund raisers of some sort in the near future to help them cover additional expenses and carnage that they will surely endure.

Lets give these four guys a big FLRC HEELLLLL YEAHHHH! and wish them good luck and great success as they go to Indiana. Make us proud fella’s!!! (oh,--- take some photos...)

I want to know how the fuck you are going to install an Atlas II in a Rover. You are the second person to mention it this week. The front output flange IS ON THE WRONG SIDE. And, the rear output flange is made for a truck with a centered diff. The rear will work, untill you get up to about 20MPH.

Hey Dan It's the same person and calm down I've talked to a few fabricators and while it might not bolt up IT CAN BE DONE just like a supercharger (which I've seen with my own eyes) when I work out the piticulars I'll send them to you first just relax and don't be so negitive this is why we are here is to learn new things. I'm trying to do it without changing the axels but that might not be possible will see!!!!!!!!!!!

Atlas is available with driver or passenger drop. Mate it to a TF727 and you'll be good to go. I'd go ahead and swap axles, or at least the rear while you're at it.

I'm still not getting it.....and I've even asked around. By the looks of it, even with a 727 and a right hand drop Atlas, I don't see how things line up without swapping axles.

Seems either the Jeep Commando BW case doubler, or the Ashcoft crawler box is the better fix. Not only due to costs', but do to driveability. Yet, the BW-case is a custom job that could be a real bitch, and I'm not sure if you can even get the Ashcoft any longer..............

Older Range Rovers (pre 1987?) used to have the 3.5 Rover engine mated to an IH TF727. Source one of these bellhousings, and a TF727 with the Chrysler tailhousing, I believe and an Atlas should bolt right up.

The BW-box conversion is not too difficult, very straight forward actually. I have 3 of the reduction units and when I find the time I'll start the measuring/design process so I can CNC them. I dunno when that will be. I still have my rig to finish, and a Jeep to build.

As far as the Atlas goes, you'd have a driveshaft issue in the rear, not that it couldnt be overcome depending on the angle at the Tcase output and pinion, and the driveshaft u-joints being used, but if you're going all the way with an Atlas, I would go ahead and swap axles anyways, the rover stuff is junk anyways.

Easiest thing I can think of it the Sals/Toyota swap. Although the Toyota stuff is not unbreakable, it's as close to a D-60 you can get without actually getting a D-60. Yet, I still think your going to have driveline issues.

Looks like the Ashcoft crawler box is ~2650.00 plus what ever shipping would be. Seems like that would be a lot better route, to me. I thought they stopped making the unit, but I was wrong.
