Rear ABS sensor wire harness

Hello all... I just failed the NY emission test due to a faulty ABS sensor (code P1317 if you are wondering). I checked the resistance of all the ABS sensors and one of the rears was showing very little resistance.

The question is, both rear sensors are joined together in a wire loom then go up to the bottom of the truck above the rear axle where you can get at the connector sockets.. One of the connectors is closer to the drivers side and the other connector is right in the center (this is the faulty one). Can someone tell me which one goes to which rear sensor? I really don't want to pull the entire loom apart or cut the wires at the sensor.

Thanks,
Dave

You cannot fail NYSI for an ABS fault. P1317 is rough road signal low, which is not an ABS fault. 1317 is a "calculated" signal malfunction between the ABS and GEMS ECU. It is not uncommon for it to show up. When the ABS ECU detects rough driving conditions, it sends the signal to the GEMS ECU, which in turn disables misfire detection. Misfire detection works on crankshaft accelleration after a fire. If the engine slowed rapidly, like when you hit the bottom of the ditch at Howard's, the engine would sense that rapid decelleration as a misfire. With the rough road line active, it would ignore that incident. Reseat all the sensors, clear the codes, drive it for a couple days, and give it another go.
When you clear the codes, all the OBD monitors are also cleared. You have to have them all passed, but on a 1997, you can have 2 not ready and still pass. Also, if you pass mechanical inspection, but fail for monitors only, you will be given a 10-day extension if your present sticker is expired.
To get a 10-day, your present sticker must be expired. You must have no SES light on. You must have no stored codes.

Thanks for the input Jeff...

I already did the reset, and the 1317 immediately came back :-(

All the monitors were in a ready state, but I guess I didn't get the 10 day sticker since the 1317 code was returned. Either way, I recon I should be fine once I get a new sensor in place. Got any laying around? Justin...? Will...?
