Rear diff question

I just got a set of Detroit TTs set up from from GBR and installed them. I didnt have any problems for the first 2 weeks and in the last 2 days the rear diff blew out all of its fluid. I called Bill and he suggested checking the breather. I did and theres no restriction in air flow. So I pulled the rear DS and the flange to check the seal which looks fine but the bearing has a lot of play.

My questions is, how much play is normal?

BTW, Im not complaining about Bill or GBR, they have been and still are extremely helpful.

Thanks

Pull it and send it back to Bill. These things are totally mechanical and if your breather is good and the fluid was spec then send it back!

i dont see how the dif would have anything to do with all th oil being "blown" out. When you say its being blown out do you mean its coming out the hub seals?

Where are you in So Cal? If you are anywhere between LA and San Diego I'll bet there is someone that can loan you a spare 3rd whilst these are being repaired. Check here with PM (Peter) or eliaschristeas.

Good luck,

Mike

Talked to Bill, just going to top it off and hope the leak goes away. The seal looked ok, may have just gotten folded somehow. But I have a new seal on stand by from the dealer, so no worries.
