Rear Diff Yoke On '04 D2

I have a pair of Tom Woods driveshafts and D1 rear Yoke kit (STC3722) to install on my '04 D2. The article in the tech section says you need to have the spacer for the yoke but that vehicle is a '96. Can anyone tell me if I need this spacer for my D2, I would prefer to have all the parts in hand before I start. If it is needed what is the part # or does anyone have the dimensions so I can make one?

yes, you need the spacer for a D2 as well. You will see why once you take the roto flange off and compare it to the 4 bolt flange. You can get them from atlantic british: http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/539745.cfm


you could probably get one from will tillery, justin at Lucky8, or drillbit on here too.

Thanks. I just looked on Microcat and the same part # spacer as above is already shown as existing on the D2. Is there a reason I can't reuse that one, ie. pressed on and hard to remove?

if it is there use it. if not, you need to get one.
