Rear Struts?

So I had my 2000 DII in for an inspection and I was told that I will need to replace my 'rear struts' shortly. I'm hoping to do this but I'm having difficulty (even through a search of DiscoWeb) finding any mention of rear struts being on the DII. What are these guys referring to? There is definitely a 'thumping' sound in the rear suspension (extremely noticeable while in the drivers seat) when going over certain bumps.

As always, thanks in advance!

You should kindly inform them that your vehicle doesn't have struts and they should pull their head out of their ass.

He probably means shocks.

That sort of thing bugs the hell out of me. Almost as much as calling a desktop wallpaper a screen saver. Almost.

Cheers,

Thanks guys. . . that's what i figured but i just wanted to double check. First time working on the suspension and i see a number of part options that include springs, shocks and both shocks and springs. Any recommendations on changing out the original parts would be appreciated.

There was recent thread about stock and slight (2") lift set-ups.

Atlantic British had the sets, and there are others here that can get you all the parts you will ever need.

Easy to change the rear shocks yourself....very easy actually....I put a set of Bilsteins on my 04...they are VERY very good!
