I am going to replace my faulted 97 mirror with black/white & grey wires with one from a 99 with compas with red, brown and a grey wire. Has anyone done this? if so which wires to which?

Sweet. You obviously didn't get any responses, probably because none of us have done this.
So, are you saying you put a DII mirror on a D1? Or is this some type of aftermarket mirror? What about the bracket?

Thanks for reminding me...last email I received indicated they (the mirrors) were being shipped that last week from Ireland. I'll be contacting them today.
