This morning i come out and got in my rover to go to work and when i looked in the rear view mirror... surprise, surprise, surprise it was shattered. the only thing holding it together was the tint. I was sooo pissed words can't even explain. It looks like it was hit by a projectile, maybe a bb gun or something. there was a small impact hole in the top left upper quadrant and the shatter pattern radiates out from there.

well enough of my bitter tale, my question is: Has anyone busted out their rear D1 window? and how much is it gonna cost? where did you take it to have it replaced. Can those mobil guys in the van come out and replace it or do i have to go to the dealer :(

any help is appreciated.... this is not the way i wanted to start my week.

Boy that will piss you off.

If it was shot out, I would at least get a police report to keep on file. Call your insurance company, I bet that glass is wicked expensive, but I don't know.

If you want to come to Houston I'll do it for $150.
Mioble comp. are go just ask for (Pilkington brand glass)Part #FB 5542 GTN.
Don't no Cal. cost but you call a round for prices.
It takes 10 min. to change and years to clean up the glass.

PS Look to see if some one was mowing around you. Kids use paint balls here.

yeah i have been shot at in the disco before by crappy little kids with their paint guns. so im figuring it was that or one of those steel balls with a wrist rocket sling shoot.

just an FYI for any of you other CA disco owners. It looks like the going cost of one of those mobile glass replacement folks is 225-295 +tax installed. I will have a new window at 4pm today. i am still pissed though..

by the way thanks clayatem for the part number.

Good advice on getting a police report though- if they catch kids in the act in the area, they can make them pay restitution to you as well. It may also help them establish a pattern in the event that they are investigating similar problems in the area.
